OUR
STORY
SOUNSEL - our name takes its root in sound healing and counselling, two of our core pillars in service provision. SEL also comes from Latin word selegere, which means to select, choose, pick out. It is a reminder to choose our wellbeing, choose ourselves, every time even in the midst of chaos. With commitment, this choice becomes an intention that we set to live each day. In the therapeutic sessions we offer at SOUNSEL, we tune into our intentions and become one with sound. We open ourselves to self-knowing, exploration and endless possibilities. All sessions are run by Stephanie Chung.
Stephanie is a registered Counsellor in Australia, Holistic Voice Therapist, certified Constellator and Gong Practitioner. Stephanie has journeyed through her own traumas, grief and pain in life, and has come to profound understanding that sitting with pain and observing it without resistance are a way to cultivate compassion for self, for others and for life. Deep listening to sensations is indeed a gift endowed to us as human beings. Embodying firsthand experiences in how voice healing, counselling and constellation have transformed her life, Stephanie advances forward in professional training and brings these services to SOUNSEL.

a particular sound on
account of its

sounds and vibrations
form a universal
harmony in which each
element, while having
its own function and
character, contributes
to the Whole.”
